Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport) and meet your safari representative. Transfer to your hotel in Arusha and enjoy a brief safari briefing covering the itinerary, wildlife expectations, and essential travel tips.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to rest, prepare gear, or enjoy the hotel’s amenities. An early night is recommended to prepare for an early start on the safari adventure.
Depart after breakfast for Tarangire National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through Maasai villages and rolling countryside. Enter the park for a game drive among ancient baobabs and along the Tarangire River, home to large elephant herds, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Predators such as lions may also be spotted, particularly near water sources.
After a picnic lunch in the park, continue to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a late afternoon game drive, spotting lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos, and rhinos. In the evening, transfer to your lodge on the crater rim or nearby highlands for dinner and overnight
After breakfast, enjoy a final early morning game drive or leisurely views from the crater rim.
