This park is nicknamed ‘Little Serengeti’ for its vast, open plains and acacia vegetation. Mikumi national park is located in Morogoro region the Southern part of Tanzania, it is 5 hours from the great business city of Tanzania, Dar es Salaam but also 7 hours from the beautiful islands of Zanzibar making it the park you want to visit when on vacation in Zanzibar or on a business trip in Dar es Salaam.

Mikumi national park has a variety of animals including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, antelopes, common eland, warthogs, wild dogs and a number of bird species (over 200 species), sometimes hyenas can also be spotted.

It also a unique night game drive to observe the predators attacking their preys for food and the hyenas picking up the remains of the predators. It is accessible by plane making it easy for you to visit even with a short time.
