Itinerary

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (or Arusha Airport) and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, relax and enjoy the hotel amenities, or take a short orientation walk around town. Your guide will meet you to review the safari schedule and answer any questions. Enjoy a restful evening and dinner at your hotel, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Begin your safari early in the morning from Arusha, driving through the picturesque highlands and Great Rift Valley. Enjoy views of traditional farmland, rolling hills, and small villages while your guide shares insights about Tanzania’s wildlife and ecosystems. Upon entering the Serengeti, the landscape transforms into golden savannah dotted with acacia trees, signaling your first real safari adventure.

Arrive at your lodge or tented camp in Central Serengeti for lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a short game drive, spotting wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and lions on the plains. Watch the sunset over the vast Serengeti horizon before enjoying dinner at your lodge, reflecting on your first encounters with African wildlife.

Wake up at sunrise for a hearty breakfast, then set out for a full day of wildlife exploration. Drive through Serengeti’s diverse ecosystems, searching for large herds of wildebeest and zebra, as well as predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Your guide will take you to prime wildlife areas, including Seronera Valley or Moru Kopjes, depending on seasonal movements.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush surrounded by the sights and sounds of the savannah. Continue your afternoon game drive, spotting elephants grazing or hyenas patrolling. Return to your lodge for dinner. For a unique experience, consider the optional sunrise hot air balloon safari, offering panoramic views of the Serengeti and its wildlife from above—a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

After a morning game drive and breakfast, depart the Serengeti and journey toward the Ngorongoro Highlands. Travel through scenic landscapes and visit local Maasai villages (optional) to learn about tribal culture and traditions. Your guide may explain the rich history and ecology of the region, making the drive as educational as it is scenic.

Arrive at your lodge on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where stunning views of the crater floor await. Spend the afternoon relaxing or taking a short walk along the rim. Enjoy dinner at the lodge while soaking in the spectacular sunset over one of Africa’s most famous natural wonders.

Begin early with breakfast, then descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Marvel at the incredible density of wildlife in this UNESCO World Heritage site, from black rhinos and lions to hippos, elephants, and flamingos. Your guide provides fascinating insights about the crater’s geology, flora, and fauna.

After a scenic picnic lunch in the crater, start your journey back to Arusha, concluding your safari adventure by late afternoon. Leave with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations and breathtaking landscapes.

International Airport (or Arusha Airport) for your onward flight. Depending on your departure schedule, there may be time to relax or purchase last-minute souvenirs. This marks the conclusion of your 4-day Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari adventure.
