Located in Same District, Kilimanjaro Mkomazi is a Pare word meaning ‘scoop of water’. Mkomazi national park is known as the rhino sanctuary, this is the home to black rhinoceros as it is among the protected parks in Tanzania. It is also known for its unique flora and fauna including wild dogs.

The park is perfect for bird watching with over 400 bird species. It is also among few parks that offer a walking safari where you will get to explore the park on foot with a guide and ranger to protect you making your experience calm and safe.
